February 18, 2012: 92 passengers were affected when a Chandigarh to Ladakh flight operated by Jet Airways was cancelled on Feb 13. Most of them were on a religious tour and were quite upset. The reason for cancellation was poor weather conditions. Passengers gathered at the airport to protest when Jet Airways did not provide them any information about an alternate flight, although on the day of cancellation, Jet Airways had provided a written assurance of a rescheduled flight.
Flight authorities mentioned that for one third of the passengers, a flight was confirmed for Feb 23, which is more than one week late since Feb 13. Passengers who have been staying in Chandigarh have had to bear expenses for accommodation and food about which they are not happy at all.
