October 19, 2011
Chandigarh airport director has declared the date and time when the first international flight from Chandigarh will take off: November 15, 2011 at 5:50 p.m according to the media news. The flight will leave from Chandigarh Airport for Sharjah (U.A.E.).
However, Chandigarh airport still has not received permission for operating flights after 8 p.m. and that means if the flight is late by a couple of hours, the passengers may get stranded at the airport. We hope that doesn't happen and the airport is able to receive the permission.
If the first international flight takes off, then more flights will follow to other international destinations.
